Improving Booking Experience for a Global Tour Brand

The Project

A global tour operator partnered with us to refine their custom-built booking platform and increase their overall booking rate. Operating in multiple countries and languages, the company offers premium travel and culinary experiences but faced usability challenges that limited conversions on their product detail pages (PDPs).

Our goal was to make the booking process intuitive, fast, and trustworthy — aligning the experience with the brand’s high-end positioning and global scale.

The Challenge

While the platform was technically robust, the user journey was complex.
Visitors struggled to understand key booking details, such as tour availability, pricing options, and what to expect at each step.

The design lacked visual hierarchy, and the booking widget felt heavy — creating friction that discouraged users from completing reservations. We needed to create a flow that reduced decision fatigue and built confidence in booking directly through the site.

Our Approach

We began by mapping the full user journey from discovery to confirmation, identifying the points where users hesitated or dropped off.

Our approach focused on three key principles:

Clarity: Simplified the information architecture so visitors immediately understood the offer, inclusions, and next steps.

Trust: Highlighted key social proof elements — reviews, partner logos, and booking guarantees — near action points.

Ease of Use: Redesigned the PDP booking module for better flow across desktop and mobile, making date, guest, and location selection frictionless.

Every design decision was guided by data from prior analytics and user behavior insights, ensuring we addressed genuine pain points rather than assumptions.

The Result

The new design delivers a cleaner, more confident booking experience that aligns with the brand’s global reputation.

By improving clarity, reducing friction, and reinforcing trust at every step, the new PDPs are set to convert a higher share of visitors into paying guests — particularly on high-intent traffic from search and retargeting campaigns.
